New Mexico is a state located in the southern United States, in the mountainous region of the western region of the United States.

The federal government has declared eight National Forrest, and the National Park Service includes sixteen national parks and monuments. Among the most famous are the White Sands National Monument with its unique fauna and flora of white dunes, Carlsbad Caverns National Park with limestone caves and the largest colony of bats on the North American continent, Gila National Forest protecting extensive forests around the Gila River and Aztec Ruins National Monument with ruins of pre-Columbian architecture.
About 200 kilometers from the White Sands Missile Range lies the famous town of Roswell. This Mecca of ufologists from all over the world benefits from a mysterious event that took place here in 1947. A "flying saucer" was seen here several times, and then one allegedly crashed here as well.
